At novavax:
We Focus On You
At Novavax, we are committed to helping protect people from the world’s most challenging infectious diseases. With more than a decade of vaccine innovation and research, we work with one goal in mind: to keep you focused on what matters most.

What diseases have we worked on?
The scientists in our research and development (R&D) programmes are committed to providing innovative vaccines.
Seasonal influenza (flu) |
COVID-19 |
Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) | Ebola virus disease |
Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) | Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease |
OUR INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO VACCINE TECHNOLOGY

We study and develop solutions for emerging strains of viruses to help protect our future. Our work includes:

Nanoparticle technology
These are particles so small they can’t be seen by the human eye. To the immune system, these nanoparticles look like a virus—but the vaccine doesn't have the actual virus in it. We use these nanoparticles to trigger the body’s immune response.

Protein subunit technology
This is a well-known and established technology used to fight against illnesses such as the seasonal flu, HPV and Haemophilus influenzae type B.

Adjuvant technology
We work with adjuvant technology that is combined with our nanoparticle technology. It includes a naturally derived ingredient that comes from the bark of a Chilean tree. Adjuvants are used to help create a stronger immune response in your body.
We are a
biotechnology company

safe technology.
The Novavax
Commitment
Our technology works to help stimulate an immune response to certain viruses.
Our work makes use of well-established technology that is tailored to enhance an immune response and help protect against certain diseases.
Our goal is to help create solutions rapidly and on a large scale to help people around the globe.
